I have been using HP Photo Printing program. It has been working fine until today. I printed one photo sheet. When I tried to print another when it starts to output to the printer, the program crashes. Any ideas?

Hi @clockman1

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

We understand that the HP Photo Printing program was working normally with your HP OfficeJet Pro 6978, but it now closes when the next photo job begins sending to the printer. We’d like to narrow down whether this is related to the photo application, the specific print job, or the printing environment in Windows 11.

Could you please share:

  • What is the exact name of the HP photo printing application you are using, and its version if available?
  • Does the application close with any error message or error code, or does it simply disappear?
  • Does this happen with every photo you try now, or only with a particular image/file?
  • Are you still able to print normally from other applications in Windows 11?
  • Before this started, were there any Windows, HP software, printer driver, or firmware updates?
  • Please also let us know whether you have already tried any troubleshooting steps.

Once we have these details, we can better understand where the interruption is occurring and guide you accordingly.

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
