HP Photosmart 5520 firmware downgrade

Hi.

I updated my HP Photosmart 5520 to the last firmware (MGP1CN2023AR)

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/ps5520_2023A/PS5520_2023A.exe

and then only can print well if I select "photografic paper" but it consumes too much ink.

I have tested too many things (also suggested by HP like other forums) but nothing works.

In the support webpage only appears the last firmware.

Anyone knows how to get an older firmware and if is possible install it (how is older than the installed now)?

I am using windows 10.

I understand you are facing a print quality issue with your HP Photosmart 5520 Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist better:

• Are you using genuine HP ink cartridges?
• Does the copy print out the same way? 
• Is the print quality set as high on the PC?
• What's the application you are trying to print from? 
• Have you tried printing from a different application or device? 

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Thanks for your answer.

I saw too the same webpage "Print Quality Issues" searching in internet and nothing worked.

I allways have used genuine HP ink cartridges, print quality to high not works only, when I select the

paper like "photographic".

I am using the last firmware and then the problem began. For it, I want to downgrade to earlier versions but

in the "The printer's firmware webpage from HP" only the last firmware can be downloaded.
