Hoping you guys can help as I can't find the drivers for my daughter's printer (which she hasn't used since university, she is now 30) She has a laptop which is about 11 months old (a HP) and just needs to print the odd thing now and then.
I have tried connecting via HP Smart, but it doesn't find the printer and the old printers doesn't see it at all, .
If I plug it in to an older desktop machine that we happen to have hanging around it works fine.
The HP website doesn't even recognise the printer at all.

Hi @DaviesG,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To find the most up-to-date and compatible drivers for the HP Photosmart C4280 printer for Windows 11, you should visit the official HP website. Go to the "Support" or "Drivers" section and enter your printer model (C4280) and select the appropriate operating system (Windows 11) if available.
Follow these steps to find the drivers.
- Go to the HP website (www.hp.com).
- Look for a "Support" or "Drivers" section on the website.
- In the search or product support area, type "Photosmart C4280."
- Select your printer model from the search results.
- Choose Windows 11 as your operating system (if available).
- Download the latest drivers for your printer.
If Windows 11 drivers are not yet available, you might have to wait until HP releases them. In the meantime, you can use the latest Windows 10 drivers, as they may still work for basic printing functionalities
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
