Found this previous thread explaining exactly my issue with a (temporary) fix. https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Setup-Software-Drivers/Printer-Health-Monitor-task-keeps-wakin...
How can I configure this task so that it does not self-revert in a few months back to waking up my PC randomly. How is this okay?

Hi @SamTip,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To prevent HP Print Scan Doctor from waking your PC, follow these steps: Open Task Scheduler, navigate to Task Scheduler Library > HP > HP Print Scan Doctor, click Properties under Actions > Selected Item, go to the Conditions tab, and under Power, uncheck "Wake the computer to run this task".
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hello,
Thank you for responding. The steps you provided are the same from the question I linked. This works *temporarily*. In a few months, the conditions on this task reset themselves, or the entire task is rescheduled without remembering the former condition preference.
Please inform your software engineers to fix this problem and reply once a new version is ready to be downloaded. HP provides a pretty awful comprehensive user experience for your everyday PC user from instant ink cartridges being a _scam_ (I know there are several lawsuits open because of this), to its low quality software and web services, and now to you waking up my computer for reasons unknown.
I can only wonder how many other people's computers wake up in the middle of night because of this.
You could at least set the task to run when the computer was already awake. This setting is pernicious and not thought out well. Do you happen to know why Print Doctor is even a thing? Why in the world would you need to run a task that wakes the PC? To check my ink levels? To check if I have HP cartridges installed? It's really quite sad HP has to be so defensive. Offer good products and customers will come and stay. I am ready to drop HP altogether.
Please forward this comment to technical support staff!
The issue is not solved by your solution that is why I opened a second issue.
