My laptop crashed yesterday. Lost everything.
Now I can't get wireless printing to my HP Printer to work either. I downloaded the HP Print and Scan Doctor. It will not load up. I delete under downloads and retry it again and and it comes up Another instance of this application is already running. I can't find it.
If I run Windows Troubleshoot it says it can't fix my issues either says Printer HPE2C247(HP Officejet 5740 series) cannot be contacted over the network.
I have been hours trying to fix this.
Thank you for your help.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
- What the status of the wireless light on the printer? (Blinking/Steady)
- Are you able to make a copy?
- Have you installed the full feature software on the computer?
Meanwhile, I recommend you root uninstall the printer and then reinstall it.
Here is how it is done.
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the PC
14.) Download and install the printer software from the below link.
If you continue facing the issue, I recommend you download and install the HP printer and scan doctor from the below link and install it.

Your reply just repeats your first? Thats no help to me.
Can you be more specific of why Print Scan Doctor locks up when I try to print a test page and then click no print?
Cause I still can't print anything from my laptop. It works just fine on desk top. It worked fine til my laptop completely crashed.
I took all your help and applied it as I said.
I need more help pleae

I recommend you create a new user account on the computer following the steps in the below article and then install the printer on the new user account and check if it helps.

Thanks for your suggestion. Sorry for delay. Heres the update and will sound crazy. I had tried that and it didn't work prior to your suggestion.
Then gave up for a couple of days and poof it started working. I did nothing different.
