I am running macOS Sequoia 15.2.  I received great tech support from HP for my HP printer.  However, now I am unable to get the Rescue program that we installed during the support session to close and stay closed.  When I close it, it just reopens itself.

HP Community cannot make use of Private Information -

Sounds odd to me.

 

I'm naturally suspicious -- Perhaps it's just odd and not evil.

 

HP Chat is available from HP after a case submission request has been submitted and accepted.

 

True - HP presumably offers support via Facebook and (overseas) WhatsApp.

IF you used that method, contact the HP agent that accepted your request for help.

 

If you were talking to HP Support at all, I believe the Chat window should not reopen --

In so much that I am aware, once closed, the session or offer to HP Chat could not reopen, in fact.

 

NOT-HP people or pop-up chat get a hold of your system?

Sure -- If you or someone installed a "Rescue" app on your system, it contain anything and be anything.

Reminders – READ

 

Online Case Submission to HP Support is available to those whose devices registered and are still in Warranty.

 

Some (Most) regions display phone / chat contact information only after the case is submitted online.

 

Not every issue is covered under the standard Hardware Warranty.  Purchased Care Pack Warranties differ by contract.

 

HP is not a "general" repair facility: Requests for out-of-warranty repairs are usually not accepted.

 

If the problem is hardware, if your device is in Warranty, if your device is Registered, and you cannot submit your case to Support, let us know and we will forward a request.

Never post private information in the HP Community!

 

Thieves are waiting - do not just hand out your privacy to their keeping.

 

HP Support does not free-post phone numbers for HP Support on the Internet.

 

Your computer is not full of bugs and you do not need to pay a fee for driver support.
