Finally had time to try this.  Possibly too complex and I missed something.  I have deleted everything I can find that seems to reference my Envy printer; however, I did not specifically see the printer listed in programs, apps, or features in Windows 10.  Even with printer turned off (no power) when I get to the part about removing the driver, the system says it cannot remove because the driver is in use??

In the process of doing this, The HP Scan and capture program was removed.  How do I get that back, At least I had that capability before while ignoring HP Smart

Not quite sure how I did this but I used Print & scan doctor form icon prel0osded on system.  Did not remove anything else.  It loaded HP smart (2bd copy ??). Print and scan now works from HP smart (not as elegant as with own logo, but it works).  Presumably I can now use HP smart for mobil fax, which is where original problem occurred; and get the scan logo separately loaded eventually.
