HP SUPD for Windows 11 ARM64 STILL doesn't work

Same problem here. Surface Pro with ARM64 processor and Windows 11 24H2 installed with Intune/Autopilot.  Printer does not print with this driver (HP Smart Universal Printer Driver) (Printer HP 776)

I have the same problem with a (rather old) USB-attached Laserjet printer P1108 Pro. I'm trying to find a way this printer would at least install with a minimum of functions on my new Lenovo ARM64 CoPilot notebook - also noter with Microsoft PCL6/IPP drivers. I'm deeply disappointed by HP that they don't offer ANY solution - there must be a sizable number of people who have this problem!
I would be very grateful for a minimal solution!

Here we are on the verge of February 2025 and the HP SUPD for Windows 11 ARM64 STILL doesn't work! Can you please advise when and if the SUPD will be updated to fix problems with CoPilot+ PC's not being able to print to HP printers? The "new" driver released in October 2024 did NOTHING to fix this problem... which HP has acknowledged on this website. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE tell me that you are working on this issue. I've been using HP printers since the first LaserJet came out - almost 40 years ago - and this problem has really caused me to question whether I should continue buying your printers. I am running out of patience...

Does this mean all printing and scanning functions work? I have a HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdw and am interested in a surface 7. I need to be able to print and fax.

HP released an updated version of the SUPD driver last week. The date on the download is January 29, 2025. This update fixed all of my printing problems. I cannot speak to the faxing capabilities, but the new SUPD driver does work with a much older HP Color LaserJet Pro printer (c. 1917) that I have as well as the new Color LaserJet Pro 3201. So, they appear to have made it backward compatible with a lot of older HP printers. Again, I have a Surface Laptop 7 (CoPilot+ PC). I hope this helps.

I confirm what Bill says. New driver works, we have some ARM Surfaces and now they can print and scan with HP printers that we have.

The latest SUPD driver fixed the problem for me. Workarounds are no longer needed, at least for the Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 CoPilot+ PC.
