Dear Community, 

 

since I did not find direct contact to HP Customer Service (please provide a link of email if you have) I place my question here. 

I've re-installed Win11 and made my system complete new. My printer is working flawless - as a printer. HP Smart is finding the printer. I also can access directly (using the IP Adress which is fixed in my configuration) and perform any action I want.

Since prior to new installation I used for scanning always the "HP Scan" Tool, so I downloaded it again but it won't start driver installation or else. So I've downloaded the "HP Scan Assistant" to set up the connection. I select "Wirlesse". Within the search it won't find my printer (only my router...) so I try to use the manual selection, I enter the well known IP adress but the tool does not find the printer and nothing more happens.

 

What can I do?

During writing I've re-downloaded everything from HP. And now it did download a specific toolset for 8100 Series and now it works. 

 

I've downloaded from same page, with same inputs but previously it seemed to be be a generic driver and not specific for 8100er.
