HP Scan Software Full
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I upgraded a computer from windows 7 pro to windows 10 pro and the HP scan utility from the full installer is now missing allits text from the screen.  If functions properly and when you hover over the scan types it tells you what they are.  When I ininstalled it and tried to reinstall got a 1603 error.  Was able to reinstall by logging into another user account and then the installer installed fine.  Prints fine also.  All the other settings etc. appear as normal.  Already tried reinstalling adobe flash.  Reinstalled al lthe fonts from another windows 10 computer.

Besides doing a clean install of the windows 10 and then reinstalling all the programs for the computer is there anything else to try?

Please download and re-install Full feature software and drivers for your printer. You can download from printer homepage (if your printer is not too old). Sorry I can't show you where because I don't know your printer.

Regards.

I guess you did not read everything.  I have already done that.  When I am in the user account I get a 1603 instal error so I have to install from another user account.  Done that twice so far with the latest full installer.  Same issue.

Could you please let us know your printer model?

Any further steps to try would vary for different printer/software versions.

I would also guess any such would likely be related to the language settings of your computer

Click the language icon on the taskbar and click on Language Preferences and might be related with the user profile (which might got corrupted during the update), trying to create a new administrator user profile and check if the same behavior occurs would worth a try, could you see the same on the newly created user account as well?

The printer is a HP mfp m426.  That is irrellevant anyway.  Its on a business network domain and all the other computers have been upgraded to windows 10 pro from windows 7 pro and are functioning fine.

Your other suggestion, i guess you did not read again.  It gets tiring typing the same information over and over.  The uninstall worked from the domain admin account that the computer uses, but the reinstall caused a 1603 error.  I used the MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta to remove all HP products from the cpmputer and tried again in the domain admin account, did not work, same 1603 error.  I logged into the local admin account and ran the installer and it worked fine.  In both accounts it has the same issue.  I am currently installingthe australian english, I will then remove us english and reinstall it, but nothing else on the computer is messed up so it is probably not that either.

That can be very relevant, the fact that all others have been successfully upgraded doesn't mean that the specific user profile didn't get corrupted during the upgrade process for the specific computer

1603 error for an HP Laserjet software is permissions related, have you tried installing the printer by temporary connecting to a local administrator account just for the installation purpose?

I reinstalled the software that way as I have stated in my last three posts.  I logged into the local admin account and was able to reinstall the software.  The issues happens in every account
