HP Smart App Accessing My Files?

I downloaded HP smart app to run shortcuts with my printer but I just saw that I can see all my personal Files on my phone in the app. How is HP accessing this??? And how do I disable it?????

Welcome to the HP English Community --

When you installed HP Smart onto your device, it was granted privileges to access your data.

iPhone

HP Smart > Settings (gear) > Sections Privacy and Privacy Settings > Manage my Privacy Settings

Example

Manage my Privacy Settings

Select ON / OFF for App Analytics, Advertising, and Personalized Suggestions

You cannot switch OFF the permission for the application to access your data -- this is non-negotiable -- the application must have access to the data to print, scan, save, share, fax, and -- yes -- use shortcuts.

If you do not agree to the contract to use the application, uninstall it from all your devices.
