Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer never seems to work right, and now I cant get the papers printed to 100 % or actual fit. There is literally no option to change the scale size. I can only adjust the paper print size. I have the deskjet 4100e. How do I get around this. I have tried printing from adobe but it never seems to print. On top of that, I send a job through the app on my phone or web and it never prints. Only says its submitting or printing... but hours later.. nothing. I will never get  a hp printer again

Hi @PheonixaTigre,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're having trouble adjusting the page scale for your HP Deskjet 4100e using the HP Smart App, you may want to try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue.

Adjusting Page Scale in HP Smart App:

Check for Updates: Ensure that both the HP Smart App and your printer firmware are up-to-date. Sometimes, updates can include bug fixes and improved compatibility.

Printer Settings:

  • Open the HP Smart App.
  • Select your printer.
  • Check for any page scaling options within the app's print settings.
  • Ensure that the paper size selected matches the document size.

Print from Other Applications:

  • If the HP Smart App is not providing the necessary options, try printing from other applications (like Adobe Acrobat) that may offer more advanced print settings.

Printer Driver Settings:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer.
  • Access the printer properties in your computer's control panel and check for scaling options there.

Troubleshooting Printing Issues:

Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your network or computer.
  • If printing via Wi-Fi, check the Wi-Fi connection on both the printer and the device.

Queue Check:

  • Open the print queue on your computer to see if there are any pending print jobs.
  • If a job is stuck, try canceling it and resending the print job.

Network Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer and the device running the HP Smart App are on the same network.
  • Restart your router and printer to refresh the network connection.

Reinstall HP Smart App:

  • Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart App to ensure a fresh installation.

Check for Errors:

  • Look for any error messages on the printer's display panel or in the HP Smart App.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
