I can't gain access to the Microsoft Store to get the Smart App. So is there another way I can get the Smart App because my laptop says the print is missing the drivers to print to?

Hi @DLC2451,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're unable to access the Microsoft Store to download the HP Smart App, you can try alternative methods to get the necessary drivers for your HP LaserJet MFP M234sdw. Here are a few options:

HP Support Website: Visit the official HP Support website and search for your printer model. You should be able to find the necessary drivers and software for your printer. Download and install them manually.

Driver Installation from Windows Settings:

  • Open the Settings app on your Windows laptop.
  • Go to "Devices" and then click on "Printers & scanners."
  • If your printer is listed, select it and click on "Remove device."
  • Disconnect the printer from your laptop.
  • Reconnect the printer, and Windows should automatically search for and install the necessary drivers. Follow any on-screen instructions.

Windows Update:

  • Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date.
  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click on "Check for updates" and install any available updates.
  • After the updates are installed, restart your computer and check if the printer is now recognized.

HP Easy Start (Windows):

  • HP provides software called HP Easy Start, which helps you install and set up your printer on a Windows computer.
  • Visit the HP Easy Start page on the official HP website, download the software, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Use a Different Browser:

  • If the issue is specifically with accessing the Microsoft Store, try using a different web browser to access the store or to download the HP Smart App.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
