On some documents my printer prints double sided.  I only want single sided.  When I select the final Print, it does not give me an option to only single sided.  When I go to HP Smart Help & Support, it comes up in Russian.  How can I get help in english?

@Dave6109, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP smart issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

To change the HP Smart Help & Support language to English and ensure that your printer prints only single-sided, you can follow these steps:

Changing the Language in HP Smart App

  1. Open HP Smart App: Launch the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  2. Navigate to Settings: Look for the settings icon, which is usually represented by a gear or three dots.
  3. Select Language: Find the language settings. This might be under general settings or user preferences.
  4. Change to English: Select English from the list of available languages.

Ensuring Single-Sided Printing

  1. Open Print Dialogue: When you are ready to print a document, open the print dialogue box from your application (e.g., Word, PDF viewer).
  2. Check Printer Properties: In the print dialogue, look for printer properties or preferences.
  3. Set Single-Sided Printing:
    • For Windows:
      • Click on 'Printer Properties', then navigate to the 'Layout' or 'Finishing' tab depending on your printer model.
      • Select 'Single-sided (Portrait)' or 'Single-sided (Landscape)'.
    • For macOS:
      • Click on 'Show Details' if the print box is minimized.
      • Find the 'Two-Sided' checkbox and make sure it is unchecked.
  4. Save Settings: Apply the changes and proceed with printing.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
