The HP Smart Tank 582 is not a duplex (double-sided) printing printer, meaning it doesn't have automatic duplex printing capability. However, you can still print double-sided manually by following these steps.

Manual Duplex Printing on macOS:

1. Open the document you want to print.
2. Go to File > Print.
3. In the print settings window, click on the "Layout" option (it might also appear as "Copies & Pages").
4. Under the "Two-Sided" dropdown, select "Long-Edge binding" or "Short-Edge binding" depending on how you want the pages to flip.
5. Click Print.
6. Once the first side has printed, the printer will prompt you to flip the pages manually and reload them in the input tray.
7. After that, click Print Again to print the second side of your document.

If you don't see the option for two-sided printing, make sure your printer driver is up to date, and the printer is connected properly.
