Hi @DaScoub,

Thanks for your response. I completely understand your concern here, and that you’ve already done everything and  you’ve enabled the Auto-Off and Power Management options, as shown in your screenshot, and yet the printer doesnt  powers down on its own.

To answer your core question: when the printer is connected to Wi-Fi (or any active network), it is designed to remain in a semi‑active state. It will dim the display and enter Sleep Mode, but it will not fully shut off automatically. So that the printer keeps a low‑power connection alive and it can respond to print jobs or remote commands.

I know  since you’re trying to reduce your carbon footprint and expected the printer to honor the shutdown timer regardless of connection. You’re right a network printer is meant to be connected, and  the design prevents full auto‑shutdown in that state.

As long as Wi-Fi is enabled, the printer will only sleep, not shut down.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for your answer.

I can't mark my problem as resolved, as it's not, but at least, i know clearly why my printer never switches off.

If by any way, you could put this problem on a list to be taken in charge, it would be helpfull. If anyone have found a workaround, don't hesitate to reply to this post.
