Even when I select the option to print borderless.. the printer will not do it.. my margins are set to 11 x 8.5 size paper.. US Letter.. printer is set to borderless printing. Is there any way to fix this problem? I'm printing over wireless internet.. I've been looking online for days & have not found any information on how to go about solving this issue.
I am using a MacBook.. operating system: Sonoma 14.6.1
help, anyone?

@danxoxo, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Borderless Printing on HP Smart Tank 7301!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you're experiencing difficulties in printing borderless with your HP Smart Tank 7301, especially on a MacBook using Sonoma 14.6.1, here are a few steps you can follow to possibly resolve the issue:
Ensure Correct Printer Settings:
- Double-check that the printer settings on your MacBook specifically reflect borderless printing. This includes going into the print settings and selecting "borderless" under the paper size or layout options.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Ensure that you have the latest printer driver installed for HP Smart Tank 7301. Visit the HP website to download and install any updates or specific drivers for macOS Sonoma.
Paper Size and Type:
- Confirm that you are using the correct paper type and size that supports borderless printing. Some printers require specific types of photo paper for borderless printing.
Check Margins Settings:
- Even though you indicated setting margins to 11 x 8.5 inches, it’s crucial to ensure these are set correctly in both your document setup and print settings. There should be an option to set margins to zero for borderless prints.
Printer Firmware Update:
- Sometimes, firmware updates can address printing issues. Check if there's an available update for your printer’s firmware via the HP website.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
