HP Smart Tank 7305 All-in-One
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi -

I am new in this forum, so please bare with me, if relevant details are missing......

I have just bought a Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge with Snapdragon X Plus processor.

I installed my printer - HP Smart Tank 7305 All-in-One - using Windows Settings/Printers&Scanners.

Both units - laptop and printer - are connected using wi-fi.

The print is OK - first page is printed immediately,  but between pages there is a huge delay - about 2 minutes.

When using 2-sidet print the delay is only  between ejection of paper and loading of new paper.

(I have used the printer from both MAC-PC, iPphone and Medion-PC with Intel processer without any issues)

Any advice e.g. driver update will be  much appreciated...

Just an update.

The delay of approx. 2 minutes does also occur between print jobs.

@Niels56, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Remove the existing printer installation:

Open Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners.

Select your HP Smart Tank printer → click Remove device.

Restart the laptop.

Install HP App for ARM natively:

Download the latest version of HP App from HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site.

Sign in with your HP account and let it detect your printer automatically.

When prompted, allow it to install the printer using the HP App driver rather than the generic Windows driver.

Set the printer port to “WSD” or “Standard TCP/IP” manually:

Go to Control Panel → Devices and Printers.

Right-click your printer → Printer Properties → Ports tab.

If the port type shows “USB” or “DOT4,” select Add Port → Standard TCP/IP Port and enter the printer’s IP address.

Click OK to save.

Restart Print Spooler service:

Press Windows + R, type services.msc, press Enter.

Find Print Spooler, right-click → Restart.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thanks Garp

I am not at home right now, but I will try your suggestions out, when I am back home next week.

(I tried to connect the printer to my router using an ethernet cable, which solved the problem - at least as a workaround as long as cabling is in place. And moving the router or the printer to another room will require more cabling...But right now  working perfect)

Also I managed to connect to a HP Office Jet Pro 9020 without any problems - Printers&Scanners didn't find it automatically at first, but after answering 'yes' to the question: "is it an old printer" in the Printers and scanners menu it found and installed the printer. Now printing to this printer without problems.

I will revert next week with the outcome when connecting the Smart Tank 7300 using wi-fi again,,,,,

Niels

Hey @Niels56,

Thank you for the update!

I'm glad to hear the workaround with the Ethernet cable is working for now. It’s great that you were also able to connect the HP OfficeJet Pro 9020 without issues.

When you’re back home and try connecting the Smart Tank 7300 via Wi-Fi again, please let me know how it goes. I’m here to help if you run into any further challenges.

Looking forward to hearing from you next week!

Hi Garp

I have tried to follow your instructions.

However the link you provided for download of the new HP App (replacing HP Smart) leads to a page, where download is possible to IOS, MAC and from Google Play only - I can't find any option of choosing a version for Windows11/ARM.
