I bought a new HP Smart Tank 750 printer and now i get to know that printer does not support Microsoft Server 2019 OS and here is no driver for the same. I am at a loss even after buying a printer. Any guidance will be of great help to make this printer run in my Server.
Thanks in Advance to all.

Hi @BLJ_SUMMI,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the frustration you're experiencing. When dealing with compatibility issues between a printer and a specific operating system, there are a few potential solutions you can try.
- Check for Updates: Visit the official HP website and check for any driver updates or firmware updates specifically designed for Microsoft Server 2019. HP often releases updates to address compatibility issues.
- Compatibility Mode: Try installing the printer driver using compatibility mode on your Windows Server 2019. Right-click on the driver installer, go to "Properties," navigate to the "Compatibility" tab, and enable compatibility mode for a previous version of Windows (such as Windows 8 or 7). Then, run the installer.
- Use Generic Drivers: Sometimes, generic drivers included with the operating system can work with certain printers. During the printer setup process, choose a generic driver that closely matches the printer model.
- Contact HP Support: Reach out to HP customer support to inquire about the compatibility issue with Microsoft Server 2019. They might have beta drivers or additional information on how to make the printer work with your server.
- Third-Party Drivers: Check if there are any third-party drivers available that might be compatible with your printer and Microsoft Server 2019. Be cautious when using third-party drivers, and ensure they come from a reputable source.
- Virtualization: If the printer is not critical for server tasks, consider setting up a virtual machine with a different operating system that is compatible with the printer. You can then share the printer from the virtual machine to your Server 2019.
- Network Printing: Set up the printer on a different computer running a compatible operating system and share it over the network. Your Server 2019 can then connect to the shared printer.
- Dual Boot: If feasible, set up a dual-boot system with a compatible operating system alongside Microsoft Server 2019. Boot into the other operating system when you need to print.
Remember to check the HP website regularly for driver updates and compatibility information.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
