I tried to install the HP Smart Tank 7602. It DID NOT WORK. It is stuck on the "The HP Software is setting up your printer..." screen with ZERO RECOURSE.

The HP Application DOES NOT SHOW THE PRINTER as it never finished installing.

I have searched through every possible thread on these forums and have done the "turn it off and turn it back on" troubleshooting. All of them. Repeatedly.

If you answer with the same process, please don't.

HP - FIX THIS ISSUE. There appears to be MANY people with the problem, and you're not helping. There appears to be no way to factory reset this with a physical button.

Hi @mharing,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to assist you.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with setting up your printer.

Are you able to make a on the printer standalone? (Place an original document on the scanner glass and make a copy to confirm hardware is working fine)

To understand the issue and help you, please share the details listed below:

- How are you planning to setup your printer? (Wifi or USB cable)

- Error messages or Blinking lights (if any) on the unit.

- When was the last time your printer was connected to the network or working fine?

- Were there any changes made to your printer or router recently?

- May I know which devices are you using to print eg: Windows PC, Mac, or Smartphone (Android or iPhone)?

Note: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Take care and have a great day ahead!
