Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

W11 update recently installed HP Smart Universal Print Driver 2.7.2.1854. This created a problem with the already installed software for the 8025 printer, in that, it corrupted the desktop icon into thinking that I'm trying to install the printer. I cannot access anything thru that icon, however, I do have HP Smart installed and everything is working with that app. All printing, scanning, and copy functions work. I contacted HP support and they wanted to do an uninstall and reinstall of the software-I declined because of problems I had installing the software when using a USB cable connection. Tech support commented that they have scene this problem before. I cannot uninstall the update as it's a driver update. Beware if you see this update. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks
