I have been using my windows 7 machine since I got my HP Ink tank 419. I use it connected via usb. The native software that I downloaded from the hp website in 2020, is very useful and fast. I mainly use it to change the media type, print quality and most importantly to scan documents. It was the best application to can with. I had been using it since I had my deskjet 2132 several years back. The software to scan worked exactly same on my Mac and windows machine.  I purchased a new Mac this year, and also upgraded the windows machine os to windows 10. I am not able to get the old software anymore from the hp website. The only option I have is to use the HP Smart app. This is painfully slow. The scan is dreadfully slow to even scan a plain black and white document in 200dpi on both the Mac and Windows computers. The HP SMART software is not convenient to use. I tried the HP easy scan app from the APP store on Mac. It's still very slow. The native Mac and windows scan software is also very slow to scan. Please provide the old software. HP SMART app is making it difficult to use the features of the printer.
