HP ENVY 6020e All-in-One Printer

I've uninstalled and re-installed the app but constantly getting a message which says

"we couldn't load HP Smart right now. We apologise for the inconvenience please retry or exit HP small and try again later"

I need to re-install the drivers as my printer is doing that annoying thing where it says it isn't connected. Wasted 3 hours of my life trying to get something to print

Hi @Claire162,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with the HP Smart app and your printer. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem:

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the same network as your device.
  • Check if both your device and printer are connected to the internet.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off your printer and your device.
  • Wait for a few minutes, and then turn them back on.

Update HP Smart App:

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed. You can check for updates on the app store on your device.

Clear Cache and Data (For Android):

  • If you're using an Android device, you can try clearing the cache and data for the HP Smart app. Go to Settings > Apps > HP Smart > Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data.

Reinstall HP Smart App:

  • Uninstall the HP Smart app from your device.
  • Restart your device.
  • Reinstall the HP Smart app from the app store.

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is turned on and connected to the same network.
  • If your printer supports it, try connecting it via USB to see if that resolves the issue.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. You can usually find this information on the official HP website. Click Here

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • HP provides a tool called "HP Print and Scan Doctor" that can help diagnose and resolve printing problems. You can download it from the official HP website. Click Here

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
