So my printer was working just fine a month or so ago. But today I tried to print and it said the drivers didn't exist.
After lots of trial and error including uninstallations and the like:
1) There is a firmware update but after running it, I am not able to select the printer to update, it is grayed out and does not let me select
2) HP Smart tells me to go to "Printers & Scanners" and to Add a Printer....but my Device does not appear in the list.
Thus I am left with a printer and no way to print.
I installed latest windows updates (21H1), and reinstalled HP Smart (after restarting my computer of course)...nothing. I also removed the existing printer driver originally because it said it wasn't working. Now I can't install it at all.

I understand you are not able to print from your computer.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue
Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.
If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
Click here to download the HP Full-feature driver.
Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.
Try printing. Do not use the HP smart app. Open a document, go to File > Print.

This was solved by your customer support. It took over 2 hours of installing, reinstalling, drivers updates, patches etc.
No idea how it ended up working out. So many things we tried I already did, it seemed like it needed the right combination for it to actually work.
2/10 - Time of resolution
10/10 - Support of the issue
1/10 - It shouldn't be that hard to just print a **bleep** paper. Stop making "smart" things too smart so that the slightest issue breaks. This 100 dollar printer would have been better to just have a USB cord plug to my computer and "print" directly. Why is it so hard for your products to work?
