HP OmniBook X 14 inch Laptop AI PC 14-fe1000 (A4ND0AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Printing to my HP 9010e worked fine until a recent Windows 11 update. Using HP Smart results in an error, and ultimately "Driver Unavailable". I suppose I could always "print to PDF", mail it to another device (like my phone) and print from that... Is there any other solution? The working driver is no longer installed , so using Device Manager to "Update Drivers" is not a solution path.

I have the HP OmniBook X 14 inch laptop AI PC (Snapdragon).

If you're experiencing a "Driver Unavailable" error when trying to print to your HP 9010e printer after a Windows 11 update, here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:

Remove and Reinstall the Printer:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Find your HP 9010e printer in the list and select it, then choose Remove device.
  • After removal, restart your computer.

Download and Install the Latest Driver:

  • Visit the HP Support page for your printer and enter your printer model (HP 9010e).
  • Download the latest printer driver for Windows 11.
  • Run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Use HP App:

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date. This can usually be done through the HP app or directly on the printer’s control panel.

Thank you! I had seen and tried these instructions before, but ignored the direction to restart after removing the printer, which made the difference. Also, my printer is a 9010 instead of a 9010e, but HP smart knew that.

Hi @TimMM1,

Thank you for your response.

It’s satisfying when a simple restart clears the path—glad HP Smart recognized your 9010 so smoothly.
