Hello. I have a new HP 8124e printer. I am following the setup instructions and have opened HP Smart to add the new printer. It asks for the wifi password but then tells me that this password is incorrect. I know the password is correct and am unable to get past this point. What can I do please?

Go to hp.com and download driver/software package for your printer model and install it, don't use HP Smart.

Are you connecting the printer to your home/office wireless network or you are connecting to printers wireless direct network? 2 different things have 2 different passwords.

I am connecting to my home wireless network as selected by HP Smart and as stated above the space to enter the password.

Connect the printer to your wi-fi using printers screen and wireless menu, once the printer is connected to your wi-fi run HP Smart if asked select that the printer is already connected.

I tried that but then it won't find it on HP Smart if it is already connected to the wifi
