I bought a new OfficeJet Printer a week ago. It installed fine but then tells me to install the HP Smart app .
Microsoft Store tells me that the app is currently not available. I am in Cyprus.
What's the next step?
Update: Been messing about. When I go to the app store in my Browser from google and lie and say I'm in the US I get the "get app" button. If I tell the truth and say I'm in Cyprus I get the not available message and no button.
Clicking the button after lying just takes my to the Micrsoft Store app on my PC which again tells me the app is not available.
Does this mean that HP, despite selling printers in Cyprus has geo-disabled the app from Cyprus. If so what alternatives are there to be able to use my printer properly?
At the moment I can print from Office programs, browsers etc, but I can't use the scanner, check ink levels etc.

Hi,
You may install the HP Full Feature Software which is the recommended software solution for your printer, available from HP and not from Microsoft :
Shlomi

That doesn't help. That's the software I already downloaded and used to install the printer.
It intalls the printer drivers and then recommends downloading and installing HP Smart App. At this point it redirects to the Microsoft Store (which tells me the app isn't available) and then closes...
On settings/ device/ printer, Windows 10 shows the printer and claims an app is available. The link there points to the same page within Microsoft Store.
Edit:
The main download was the same one, but the second link has different software in it, I'll try that. Although it's a bit ridiculous that the instruction manual and CD that came with the printer BOTH recommed the one that insists on HP SMart.

OK, that's solved the problem, but the documentation that comes with the printer should point to that, I shouldn't have to come on here to ask!
Also, that made me reinstall everything I'd already done, but it did a better job (for example, it set up the fax header), however, when entering the country Cyprus is not an option in the dropdown box.
