HP Smart not compatible with Apple MacBook Air with M1 chip

HP is not crystal clear about the working of HP Smart on an Apple MacBook Air with the M1 chip.

HP thinks it will work but should know by the messages we sent that IT DOES NOT WORK...

Please solve this problem otherwise I have to sell my clients other than HP...

  • Android 7.0 and later

  • Apple iOS 13 and later

  • Windows 10 version 1803 and later

    For Windows 10 version 1709 or earlier, download and install HP Easy Start from 123.hp.com.

  • macOS 10.13 and later

    For macOS 10.12 or earlier, download and install HP Easy Start from 123.hp.com or set up your printer using Apple AirPrint. Go to HP printer setup (Apple AirPrint for Mac) for more information.

How do I know if my HP Printer is compatible with HP Smart. It appears from all my trials it is not as it neither shows the network and it also fails if I try to set up the printer using the USB C connecetor adapter to connect with the printer cable supplied with the  HP Laserjet P2055dn.
