SmartTank 750 printer.  When I try to setup my printer I am asked for a PIN.  I tried the Pin inside the printer.  It said Invalid.  I have tried all of the PINs I might normally use with no luck.  There is no reset PIN option offered, just continuous "Wrong PIN" messages.

Please help me!

Hi @MallNatural

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you’re having trouble with the PIN for your HP Smart Tank 750 printer setup. Here are some steps to help you troubleshoot this issue:

Find the Correct PIN: The PIN you need during setup is typically displayed on the printer's control panel. Make sure to look for it under the Wi-Fi or network settings. If you don't see it, you might need to access the printer’s wireless setup menu.

Reset Network Settings: If you can access the printer’s control panel, try resetting the network settings to default. This often clears any saved Wi-Fi credentials and allows you to set it up fresh.

  • To do this, go to the Settings menu on the printer, look for Network or Wireless settings, and choose the option to reset.

Check for Updates: Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date. Sometimes, updating can resolve setup issues.

Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, wait a moment, and then turn it back on. This can sometimes help reset any temporary issues.

Use HP Smart App: If you haven’t already, download the HP Smart app on your device and try setting up the printer through the app. Sometimes, it can handle PIN issues more smoothly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
