Won't work with 15.1

As others have mentioned this is not working with macOS 15.1+

Continuing to answer with the installers and methods that are wildly out of date or no longer relevant is not helpful. Sequoia has been available since September 16, 2024. How are the HP drivers not compatible? It is just a driver, update it and release it. Please do better and provide your community with the proper tools to support your hardware.

The actual link and the displayed link are different. Typing the address as it appears fails to connect to the Apple site. Clicking on the link transfers to a non-Apple site and downloads a dmg file. Copy the link and paste it to a text editor to see the real link. CAUTION!!!

Well.... the driver download/install gets to "...requires Mac OS 15 or earlier...."  Having just installed 15.1.1 it won't work.

HP driver download will not install using MacOS 15.1.1

It renders an error message sayin it is for ver 15 and earlier.

***Banging head on wall.....

Linked HP driver file will not run on Mac OS 15. Error message says it requires <15.0... dead end.

I just updated Sequioa to 15.1.1

Now HP Easy Start recognized the Printer and installed fine.
I downloaded easy Start here:

Seems to be the most current Version

I figured it out for my HP Laserjet CP5225, Just share it from a mac running Ventura or Sonoma, then when you see it in the print center of the OSX 15.1 machine just run the HP Easy Start Utility, select the shared printer CP5225 and it will install the v10.4 drivers. I stumbled on this by accident. Hope this helps someone else!

I'm using Sequoia 15.1 and am unable to open the drivers ("must be 15.0 or earlier."

Unable to print and hating this printer.

I went through all of this over the last ten days.  Here's what I've found (YMMV):

1. Initial issue as stated: Under macOS 15.1 and 15.1.1, unable to see/print to HP MFP M277dw (or my Dell printer).  Conducted extensive troubleshooting, ultimately following all Apple recommendations to include resetting printers which erases all print drives and profiles.  Now, nothing works!

2. Attempts to reinstall HP drivers failed with message that the dmg software package is for macOS 15 and below.

3. 11/28 -  Subsequently (via Apple Blog) found that eSET security package was at least a part of the problem with seeing the printers. Another user reported turning off eSET virus and firewall eliminated the problem. Too late for me... the drivers were gone. In exasperation.... I dragged all HP dmg files to the trash, emptied the trash... and went for a beer.

4. 11/30 - downloaded another HP driver set which installed correctly and also successfully installed HP Smart, so the macOS compatibility issue seems resolved. Poof!  HP Printer appears in the the System Settings Printers & Scanners dialog box.

5. HP Smart now controls printer AND scanner (took some time to sort that out). There is no discussion about this application replacing legacy EasyScan and printer controls.  I love Tribal Knowledge.

6. HP MFP M277dw seems happy now... although... it seems to print significantly slower, but that might be my imagination, as I have no objective data to rely on.

7. In retrospect: compounding issues of macOS 15.1.1, eSET and HP dmg installation compatibility led to a lot of frustration and a lost weekend of troubleshooting.
