Hello,
I have an HP Tango X printer that I purchased in Japan and have moved to Germany, now it will not accept the #303 cartridges that I have purchased in Germany. Can you please assist me in the instructions for a regional change?
Cheers in advance,
Ilia

Hi @ilyavologin,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I'd be glad to help you. Please note that HP Printers use different ink cartridges in different regions, and to use the ink cartridges sold in the current region, we need to change the region settings on the printer.
I request you to please get back to me with the following information, so that I can help you change the region settings on the printer.
Do you still have the ink cartridges for both regions
Do you have a printer USB cable?
Which OS is on the PC? Is it Windows or Mac?
Do you have the printer's full feature software and drivers installed on your PC?
Hope this helps!
Take care and have an amazing day!

Hi @ilyavologin,
For best results, a regional reset is typically performed via a USB connection, as it provides more stable communication between the printer and the system.
In your case
Since your printer does not have a USB port, we will need to proceed over Wi-Fi.
Recommended setup
To perform this successfully:
- Please use your Windows PC (not Mac for this step)
- Make sure:
- The printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network
- Full-feature HP drivers are installed on Windows
👉 Using Windows with the proper drivers helps ensure the reset process communicates correctly with the printer.
Step 2:
1) Launch the printer software from the desktop icon or, from the Start menu, click Start, All Programs, HP, the Product Name, and then the Product Name again.
2) Double-click the Estimated Ink Levels icon in the printer software. The Estimated Ink Levels window opens.
3) Press and hold the CTRL and SHIFT keys, and then right-click anywhere in the Estimated Ink Levels window, except for a button. The Set New Region window opens.
4) If the Set New Region window fails to open, right-click to the right and left of the Estimated Ink Levels window.
5) Take a screenshot of the screen and send it to me in Private.
