My company is trying to set up a printing kiosk using an Officejet 9010 All-In-One.
The normal 9010 driver does not allow us to specify a default number of copies for each print job (we need 2 copies of everything printed with this kiosk).
However, when installing the printer over the network using the HP Universal Print Driver, all test pages come out as garbled strings of characters.
So far we've tried:
HP Univsersal Print Driver PCL6
HP Universal Print Driver PostScript
Microsoft universal print driver PCL6
Same garbled mess each time for each printer driver.
How do we get the Universal Print Driver to work correctly, or barring that, how do we set the default number of copies to 2 copies per print job?

Hi,
The HP Officejet Pro 9010 printer uses the HP PCL3 GUI printing language, it is not supported by HP UPD which supports PCL 5, PCL XL and Postscript printers only.
You may set an alternate driver to get multiple copies printed as following:
First, right click the existing printer icon of your working printer and select Printer Properties, take a note of the port selected within the Ports tab and close this windows, if your printer is not yet installed install ts standard driver and locate this information.
Click Add Printer.
Click the Printer That I want isn't listed,
Click the last option to add a local printer or a network printer with manual configuration and then press Next.
Select the same port as used by your working printer and press Next.
Click the Windows Update button and allow it some time to complete the update, till the list re-appear.
Select the HP Deskjet 5550 (HPA) model and click next, then complete the wizard.
Now right-click the newly added print queue and select Printer Properties, within the Advanced tab click the Printing Defaults button at the bottom.
Within the Advanced tab set the Copy Count as 2 , ensure the correct paper size is selected and press OK.
Within the General tab click Preferences and set the same options there too, then press OK
Click Apply and then Ok to apply the changes, the queue will print 2 copied of each print job.
