Hi, so recently I've had a power outage in my house, which caused my printer some forced shut downs. Sadly, after a few times this had happened, my printer has started to blink - 4 lights:

power

ink

paper

and the "i" button.

The printer won't turn off, even if I unplug it, it still gets back to that current state. If I plug it to the computer using USB it won't connect. I can't print anything and it feels like I can't manage to fix the problem. I've tried to install the "print and scan doctor" but since the printer won't connect, the app can't manage to find the device.

PLEASE HELP

Hi @carolineush

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Let's try a power reset on the printer

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Try the steps in the document-Blinking Lights

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
