To resolve the issue with your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2775 printer not connecting to your computer after upgrading from Windows 8 to Windows 10, follow these troubleshooting steps.
Ensure Printer is Powered On and Connected:
- Make sure your printer is turned on and properly connected to your computer via USB cable or Wi-Fi.
- If using Wi-Fi, ensure both the printer and computer are on the same network.
Run Windows Troubleshooter:
- Press the Windows key + I to open Settings.
- Go to Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
- Select Printer and run the troubleshooter to check for issues with your printer.
Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Remove the old printer driver:
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your printer and select Remove device.
- Go to the HP Support website and search for HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2775 drivers for Windows 10.
- Download and install the latest drivers compatible with Windows 10.
- During the installation, make sure you select the correct connection method (USB or wireless).
Check Device Manager for Issues:
- Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
- Look for any issues under the Printers or Universal Serial Bus controllers section. If there is a yellow exclamation mark next to your printer, right-click and select Update driver or Uninstall and reinstall.
Restart Print Spooler Service:
- Press Windows key + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- In the Services window, locate Print Spooler.
- Right-click it and select Restart.
Use HP Smart App (if using wireless):
- Download and install the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store.
- Use the app to set up your printer wirelessly and check if it can find your printer.
