Good afternoon. Your file is not being installed. The system does not allow you to install it.

I did everything as it is written in this link and everything worked. The HP LaserJet P1102 printer. I even upgraded to version 15.3 and everything is working.

Similar but not identical question.  Merged and older IMac with a new IMac 24,

HP LaserJet Pro MFP M227fdw software on the HP site will not download, the circle just keeps turning and turning.  Thoughts?

Worked for me.
I followed the instructions from this link

Installed HP Laserjet M1136 MFA in MAC OS 15.3

I downloaded this basic driver but my computer isn't automatically selecting a printer software. A bunch of softwares pop up when I choose "Select", but I'm not sure which one to use/is compatible for the HP LaserJet P1102w. I tried a couple that were similar, but it would send to the printer, say the job was finished, but nothing printed. Any help?

Thanks,  Alex198242.

I agree that the Apple Community Discussion article you referenced has a good solution.

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255831271?sortBy=rank

I followed the post there by user Bus1k — instead of using the Pacifist app to modify the "HewlettPackardPrinterDrivers.pkg" obtained from the "HewlettPackardPrinterDrivers.dmg" (Apple's HP 5.1.1 Printer Software Update), Bus1k showed how to just use two simple "pkgutil" commands in Terminal, so that the two references to "15.0" in the Distribution file in the .pkg can be changed to a higher number. Then the fixed package that's created will work with macOS beyond Sequoia 15.0!

Using the "fixed" .pkg file I was able to install my old HP LaserJet 4050N on my new M4 Mac mini running macOS Sequoia 15.4.1.
