Five days ago all was printing as usual. Recently when trying to print from anywhere such as a Word doc or even Gmail "HP ePrint + Jet Advantage" pops up a new window. It will not locate my printer which in HP Solutions says is connected. When I go to the printer devices - it's there. However, the name is "unknown device" within Device Manager, so I was unable to update any drivers. Also, no software was found to be installed. ??? I have had this printer for a few years and it has been working just fine. Windows has not updated since 4/10 and I printed at least since 4/25. I rebooted and no change. I have tried several solutions through the HP site, including the virtual assistant, the HP Support Assistant (which did not have my C310 listed for some reason-after reconnecting it made no difference - still not found) and used the HP Print and Scan doctor which asked me to install because no drivers or software was found but C310 was actually listed. ??? I installed through the process and nothing changed.
Within the HP ePrint I attemped to use the IP address. Still nothing and "not found." What happened and why did my C310 go away and this HP ePrint become default without my permission? I'm the admin - it's my personal laptop - an HP Pavillion Laptop15-cc0xx.
Please assist me with a resolution. I have searched Google and HP community. Most is older and doesn't relate. Thank you!

Another victim of Win10 printer management. If you are connecting visit network, download the current driver.
Install the drivers manually by searching for control panel on Win10. Once there, go to devices and printers. Click add printer and then immediately click my printer is not found, select the option to manually install. Say local printer and then select Standard TCP/IP port and enter the address of your printer. When it asks for driver, click have disk and locate the driver you downloaded. Once done, right click on printer, set it as default and when Windows asks if it should stop managing printer's say yes.
