I currently do not have access to the Internet over Wi-Fii or ethernet and not sure if I will in the future… I connect to the internet using a mobile hotspot. However, my Envy 6400 printer will not connect to the Internet over a hotspot. Hence, the problem.
I tried connecting my printer directly to my computer using a cable and that worked for about a week… But then HP blocked me from using my printer at all with the exception of printing error reports letting me know let me know “Printer is not connected to the Internet.”
I’m assuming all this stems from my printer trying to connect to the original network I used during initial set-up. However, this network is no longer an option for Internet connectivity. What are my options at this point?
Can I do a factory reset on my 6400 printer so that I can go thru the initial set-up process again and this time connect my printer to my computer via a cable rather than a network? If so, how do I perform a factory reset without connectivity? Or am I out of luck because a HP ENVY 6455 All In One Printer REQUIRES internet connectivity over Wi-Fi in order to print?
Thanks so much for your help!
