@Auctiformulas, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP ENVY 6400e printer is registered to someone else's account, you can follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Perform a Factory Reset: This will reset your printer to its original settings, which can remove account associations.

  • With the printer on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the power source.
  • Wait 60 seconds, then reconnect the power cord to the printer and plug it directly into a wall outlet.

Refer to this guide to perform a factory default: Restore factory defaults on your HP printer | HP® Support

Re-register the Printer: After the reset, you should be able to set up the printer as a new device with your account.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions via the HP Smart app or your computer to re-register the printer using your HP account.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
