I have a HP Officejet pro 8600 that is continually stuck on "low" priority when printing.  When a document is sent to print, it does not immediately print, you have to select Print, Properties, (printer dialogue box opens), 3/4 of the way down, you have to slide the priority from low to high.   But you have to do this change from low to high priority each and every time.  I've checked all the updates, they are current,, I've no other issues with this printer.  These are simple documents, 1-3 pages max.  What is the solution to have the printer priority stay on high priority?  Very frustrating.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.  I have Chrome 10, Windows 10, 64 bit.  When I move through your instructions my "priorities" are numerical and are set to "1".  There is no option for high, medium or low.   I gone through all options through anything on my system that has the word "printer" listed agone down the rabbit hole of ports and advanced and anything else viewable.

The only time you see a slide bar or any other option to change from low to high priority is during the actual printing process.  (Print, document, properties, general:  priority  slide bar option to change from lowest to highest (always stuck on low), current priority is always set to 1, yet you still have to use the slide bar from low to high.

Thanks, any other ideas for the latest Chrome,  HP officejet Pro 8600, with Windows 10, 64 bit?
