Print feature works fine, but cannot scan to laptop.  HP fix says the full software/driver is not installed.  The full software is NOT available to download.  I can only use HPsmart app, which will not work to scan anything.  I can get to the webbased scanning feature, and it WILL scan, but I don't have the option to save to my laptop.  

 

I really don't need a new printer, this works fine other than this issue....which is an HP issue that I feel they should have a fix for.  If I end up having to get a new printer, it will not be an HP due to this problem!

 

Anyone else run into this issue?  HP, please do better.....put the correct driver/software in your options to download!

Follow these steps in the order presented to resolve the issue for printers connected to a computer with Windows.

Download and run an HP Print and Scan Doctor:

The tool diagnoses and resolves common scanning problems and communication problems. Follow these steps to download, and then run the tool.

Step one: Download the tool

Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor  to automatically diagnose and resolve printer hardware and connection issues.

That is one of the most useless replies in a vast mountain of useless crap from HP.

 

SCANNING Software - not printer, SCANNER driver, not PRINTER.  GET IT?
