HP print and scan doctor refuses my administrator permissions

The version of FerRX works! Obviously, additional programming is built into this version. Therefore a little more KB than the version from the HP side. Mysterious! However, the behavior of HP is scandalous. No reaction to this obvious mistake so far.

In the meantime there is version 5.6.2 with 11'549 KB of FerRX (many thanks to him), to be found in the community post of Peterthepainter and there on the 3rd site and then further to the post of FerRX, which then leads to the download. Yes, it works. This seems like an unofficial version.

BUT all current links at HP still bring

   the age-old version 5.0.8 with 9'721 KB (offline = yes)

or

  the faulty version 5.6.1 with 11'537 KB (offline = no) .

when will the problem finally be solved effectively and officially?

(with Version 5.6.2? or better?)

PS: This 5.6.2 works. Unfortunately, Print and Scan Doctor was unable to solve my real problem with installing the new HP OfficeJet 7740 Pro wide AIO. (Problem has been with HP support for 20 days now, seems to be very bad ...)

the problem comes with the last version of HP Print and scan doctor (5.6.1)

the program works perfectly with the old version 5.5.2.006

HP has launched a new version of HPPSdr last days: HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows  5.6.2.008. It works fine without errors.

YES, the new version 5.6.2.008 works without "administrator-error". 

BUT the installation problem for setup the new HP OfficeJet 7740 wide AOI doesn't comes to the correct end. See separate posts

... support.hp.com  take your country,  -  Diacnostics  -  Print and Scan doctor  -   ...offline NO.

I hope, in your country is now the newest download.
