Hello all,
I am using Windows 11 while trying to install HP Deskjet printer 3633. Before attempting the software installation, I checked to confirm that the printer; is compatible with Win 11. So, I proceeded with the software installation and printer driver. After completing, running alignment; diagnostic checks seemed okay.
Until I noticed two printer options; HP Deskjet series 3630 and HP Deskjet series 3630 (copy 1)? The computer itself wasn't sure as it would not print (stating a conflict in the printer setup). Hp help suggested making one of the printers the default in windows settings, so I removed the (copy 1) and restarted the PC. The print job in the printer queue; was printed after restarting but, there were still two printers showing as available; the default and copy 1.
I uninstalled and then reinstalled, but again two printer options are showing. I would be grateful for any suggestions on a workable fix, please.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:
Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
15.) Restart the computer.

Hello Betty,
Thanks for your reply and welcome. I followed the steps to the end; the only procedure to fail was removing the driver from printui, print server. The driver is in use and unable to remove, but the printer was off and not connected to the computer? I have repeated this step three times to the same result.
