@Cee100, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The WPS PIN (Wi-Fi Protected Setup PIN) is a security code used to connect your HP printer to a wireless network. Here's how you can find it:
Where to Find the WPS PIN on Your HP Printer
Check the Printer Control Panel:
- If your printer has a touchscreen, the WPS PIN is usually displayed during the wireless setup process.
- Go to Setup > Network Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard or Wi-Fi Protected Setup, then choose WPS (PIN). The printer will generate and display the PIN on the screen.
Printed Information Sheet:
- Some models automatically print a network configuration page or information sheet during setup. Look for the WPS PIN on that sheet.
HP Smart App (Alternative Method):
- If you're unable to find the PIN or the prompt doesn't work, you can skip the PIN method and use the HP Smart app to connect your printer.
- Download it from 123.hp.com and follow the guided setup.
Troubleshooting Tips
- You typically have 90 seconds to enter the WPS PIN before it expires.
- If the PIN doesn't work, restart the setup process to generate a new one.
- If your router doesn’t support WPS, use the HP Smart app or manual wireless setup
