Reporting in from a commercial IT company and we are stumped. A client has a newly installed HP Laserjet Pro M4101, HP Smart and HP Scan cannot find the printer. Tested from 2nd PC and it has the same issue. When it does a scan it sees it as the firewall IP 192.168.1.1, not the IP of the MFP itself (.51). Selecting it with the wrong IP leads it to get stuck in a loading loop. Uninstalling and reinstalling, and manually adding the IP does the same thing. Windows printing is able to print no problem. Tested with another HP M428 on the network and issue persists.
We have already uninstalled and reinstalled the HP software, the HP drivers, and the printer itself. PC has been rebooted several times. The local network has been scanned and no issues found. The ethernet wire has been moved between 3 different ports, each on 2 different switches and a LAN port on the firewall itself. Ethernet wire has been tested and is good. Swapped ethernet wires from PC to printer and vice versa, issue persists. Temporarily added a specific firewall rule to allow all connections within the LAN. Windows firewall disabled. PC ethernet port is set to Private and not Public.
