Microsoft Windows 11

I have windows 10.  Husbands new computer, windows 11.  Downloaded HP Smart on the new one.  Can both of us have the app open at the same time?  Will the printer only work with one HP Smart app open?

Hi @Towney,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Yes, both you and your husband can have the HP Smart app open on your respective computers at the same time. The HP Officejet Pro 6830 E-All-In-One Printer can connect to multiple devices simultaneously. The printer does not restrict operation to only one instance of the HP Smart app being open.

You should be able to print, scan, and manage printer settings from both computers without any issues. However, if both computers try to perform tasks simultaneously, there might be a queue or delay as the printer processes each request sequentially.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
