Hi @MikoNii
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If HP SmartStream 3D Build Manager is crashing on one of your computers but works fine on another, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
System Requirements:
- Ensure that the computer meets the system requirements for running HP SmartStream 3D Build Manager.
Update Software:
- Make sure you have the latest version of HP SmartStream installed. Check the HP website for updates and download the latest version if necessary.
Check for Graphics Drivers:
- Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can cause crashes in graphic-intensive applications.
Run as Administrator:
- Right-click on the SmartStream application and select “Run as administrator.” This can sometimes resolve permission-related issues.
Disable Antivirus/Firewall:
- Temporarily disable any antivirus or firewall software to see if it’s interfering with the application. If it works with the antivirus disabled, add an exception for HP SmartStream.
Check for Conflicting Software:
- Look for any other software that might be conflicting with HP SmartStream. This can include other 3D software or printer management tools.
Clear Temporary Files:
- Clear temporary files on your computer. You can do this by using Disk Cleanup or a similar tool to free up space and potentially resolve any file conflicts.
Reinstall the Software:
- Uninstall HP SmartStream 3D Build Manager completely, then reinstall it. This can help if there was a problem during the initial installation.
Check Windows Event Viewer:
- If the application continues to crash, check the Windows Event Viewer for any error messages that occur when the crash happens. This can provide clues about what might be causing the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hello Rachel,
we have the same problem that the hp 3d build manager crashed after we want to connect to our command center.
The Event viewer shows us the same massage like MikoNii.
Can you help us?
Best regards
