Hi @tanya1980,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To accept the terms of use for HP web services and get your HP LaserJet 400 Color printer working properly, follow these steps.

Ensure Printer is Connected: Make sure your printer is connected to the internet. Check the network settings on the printer to confirm it’s connected.

Access Printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS):

  • On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the network settings or information section to find the printer’s IP address.
  • Enter the IP address into a web browser on your computer. This should take you to the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS).

Sign In to HP Web Services:

  • Once on the EWS page, look for a tab or section related to HP Web Services or Internet Services.
  • You might need to log in to your HP account or create one if you don’t have it.

Accept Terms of Use:

  • Follow the prompts to accept the terms of use and enable web services. This typically involves agreeing to HP’s terms and conditions.

Complete Setup:

  • After accepting the terms, you may need to perform additional setup steps such as configuring scan-to-email or enabling other features.

If you are unable to access the EWS or if the options are not available on the control panel, try the following.

  • Update Firmware: Make sure your printer’s firmware is up to date. Firmware updates can often resolve issues related to web services.
  • Printer Software: Install or update the HP printer software on your computer. This can sometimes provide options to manage web services.
  • Restart Devices: Restart your printer, router, and computer to resolve connectivity issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
