HP4620 Printer set to portrait but prints landscape

I've had this issue before but forgotten how to fix it. It seems that when I go to print a PDF file, the printer suddenly thinks I want to print it landscape even though it's set to portrait. Until I applied the fix last time, absolutely everything was then printed in landscape. I've rebooted my laptop and uninstalled / reinstalled the printer but that hasn't worked. It's always a PDF that triggers my printer. I'd appreciate any suggestions!

The following assumes you have installed the Full Feature Software (full driver) for the printer.

Adobe Reader DC – Install Whether You Use It or Not

If you have not done so,

Reinstall / Update your PDF Reader (Adobe Reader DC /Optional  Foxit Reader)

HINT:  Watch out for and UNCHECK unwanted extra software

NOTE:  Adobe Reader DC software can be installed even if you do not normally open / view / print PDF files directly from the Adobe Reader DC software.

Open the saved PDF in Adobe Reader DC 

Click the Printer icon

Set the print options in the main menu

Click Properties to select a shortcut and other related settings

Click OK to save the changes and leave the Properties menu

On the main menu, Select the Orientation as opposed to "automatic"

When ready, Click Print
