@Denny966, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Setup Incompletion for HP Envy 7955e Printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP Envy 7955e printer is indicating that the setup is incomplete and not recognizing your HP account, you can follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Verify Internet Connection: Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet, as the setup process requires connectivity for account verification.

Check HP Account Verification:

  • Go to the HP Smart app or HP website.
  • Ensure that your HP account is verified. Sometimes a verification email or code is sent to your email or phone. Make sure to complete this process.

HP Smart App Installation:

  • Ensure you have the HP Smart app installed on your smartphone or computer.
  • Re-login to your app ensuring that the credentials match those used for the HP account associated with the printer.

Re-link Printer:

  • Open the HP Smart app.
  • Choose ‘Set Up a New Printer’ option and follow the instructions to add your HP7955e printer again.
  • Make sure your account details are entered correctly.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Navigate to the printer settings within the HP Smart app.
  • Check for any firmware updates and ensure they are installed, as outdated firmware may affect account recognition.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
