My printer keeps going offline. I have reloaded all software and one thing from the Virtual Agent says to update the firmware. I have downloaded an upgrade, but when I try to use it, it cannot find the printer. The printer is otherwise working fine (when it is online). I can't find an option to initiate firmware updates from the printer.

Hi,

Try following below specific version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility by selecting your printer:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

Be sure to restart your PC and allow the utility to complete the process, then check for any difference.

Try printing and check for any change, if the same remains try printing using the newly added print queue copy (Copy1) and check for any difference.

on the update matter, you may check for update from the printer front panel if the printer is connected to the network, see the Update directly from the printer section below:

The fix was also sent to me by email a couple of days ago. It seems to have fixed the problem. Many thanks.
